US-Iran War LIVE: Iran’s navy said on Friday it had fired warning missiles and drones at U.S. warships in the Gulf of Oman, accusing the U.S. Navy of harassing maritime traffic and seizing commercial vessels and oil tankers, Iranian state media reported. Hours later, the US Central Command in a post on X denied being attacked and said, “US forces continue to operate freely in regional waters while fully enforcing the ongoing blockade against Iran.”

Israel continues airstrikes in Lebanon: Israel’s air force carried out strikes across several areas of southern Lebanon on Friday after the military warned residents of nine villages to evacuate. The areas included a village that had largely avoided earlier damage and had become a refuge for thousands displaced during the three-month conflict. Lebanon’s state news agency reported that six people were killed in the attacks. The Israeli military also claimed to have killed Abed Harb, a commander in Hezbollah’s engineering unit, in a strike. The Lebanese group did not confirm the killing. In a statement on X, the military forces claimed Harb was involved in assembling and activating explosives aimed at Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon. It also said that the air force struck and dismantled a rocket launcher.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said at least 3,526 people have been killed and 10,733 injured in Israeli strikes since March 2.  Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said there would be “no peace in the region” unless Israel withdraws from Lebanese territory, adding that any deal with Washington must include an end to the conflict in Lebanon.

Reactions from Hezbollah, US and Iran: Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem rejected the deal, calling it a “farce”, and warned attacks on northern Israel would continue as long as strikes persist.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump hit out at lawmakers who backed restrictions on action against Iran, calling them “unpatriotic” and saying the US would prevail “one way or the other… it’s going to be militarily or on paper.” Trump claimed the US could take Iran’s enriched uranium if it chose to, but saw “no reason” to do so. “We could get it right now. I don’t think they could stop us if we want it. But there’s no reason to,” he said. He added that the material was “entombed” and that Washington “has cameras on it”.
