US Israel Iran War LIVE: Pakistan’s prime minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday called on “all sides” to exercise restrait and “and give peace a little more chance” after Israel and Iran launched strikes at each other, threatening the fragile ceasefire. The strikes marked the first time both countries have attacked each other’s territory since the ceasefire started two months ago.
‘Get back to the table’ : US President Donald Trump said the Iranian strikes would hurt efforts to end the conflict and urged Tehran to return to negotiations.
“This is certainly not going to help,” Trump told Fox News. “They have to get back to the table and make a deal.”
He also said Israel may have to accept any agreement reached by Washington with Iran. “I call all the shots,” Trump told The Financial Times, adding that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “won’t have any choice.” In a separate comment to Axios, Trump said he would advise Israel not to retaliate.
