Preeti Pawar, Jaismine Lamboria, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas, Arundhati Choudhary, Sachin Siwach, Ankush Panghal and Ankush Panghal have won India seven gold medals in boxing on Saturday at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow while Jadumani Singh, Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain and Narender Berwal claimed silver medals.
Thanks to this medal haul from the Indian boxers, the nation rose from sixth spot in the standings to four, past hosts Scotland in the medals tally.
India had sent 14 boxers to Glasgow, 10 of them made the semis, all 10 of whom made it to the finals.
