At least 27 people have been killed after a Russian attack hit Ukraine’s Bucha district near Kyiv, damaging around 50 residential buildings and triggering a large fire, Ukrainian officials said Saturday. The attack is the latest major escalation in Russia’s war against Ukraine, with rescue and recovery operations continuing.
Elsewhere, US President Donald Trump has announced what he described as a major oil agreement with Venezuela that would give the United States majority control of more than 65 billion barrels of the country’s proven oil reserves.
