Pakistan captain Fatima Sana gave India an almighty scare, snaring 3 wickets in the first 6 overs but with just 55 on the board, only delayed the inevitable as the Women in Blue chased down the target in just 8.4 overs and won the match by 7 wickets. Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma stayed unbeaten even as India lost Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma and Pratika Rawal cheaply.
The India bowlers ran riot against Pakistan with Deepti Sharma, Sree Charani, Shafali Verma and Prema Rawat combining to relegate Pakistan to their lowest ever T20I total. Charani and Prema each took 3 apiece while Deepti and Shafali chipped in with 2 wickets and 1 wicket respectively to bowl Pakistan out for a paltry 55 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first against India in a high voltage Asia Cup match in Dubai. As has been the tradition in recent matches, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Pakistan captain Fatima Sana did not shake hands after the toss. Pakistan will now need a victory against Hong Kong, China in their last match of the group to qualify to the next round.
