The final day of the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow offered a blend of last-minute medal action, though India failed to add to their tally of 39 medals. The judo mat and the track cycling velodrome did not yield any new podium finishes, with Ishroop Narang, Avtar Singh, and Yash Ghangas all missing out in judo, while Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam and Lisha Das finished outside the medal bracket in track cycling.

India ended their CWG 2026 campaign with the same tally as yesterday: 39 medals – 13 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze.

The closing ceremony is still to come in a few hours at the OVO Hydro Arena, where the Games will be officially handed over to Ahmedabad, India, the host of the 2030 Commonwealth Games. The ceremony will feature a 20-minute cultural showcase with performances by Shankar Mahadevan and Rashmika Mandanna.

A single boxer was yet to step into the ring on Saturday when India had already broken Commonwealth Games boxing records. Ten assured medals before a punch was thrown on the final day of the boxing programme in Glasgow. Weakened field or not, it’s a rare feat in Indian boxing, especially considering the administrative mess that the sport finds itself in the country.
