US President Donald Trump has suggested that Syria’s new leadership would do a better job than Israel in confronting Hezbollah, a proposal that has triggered concern in both Lebanon and Israel. Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa rejected suggestions, saying Trump’s remarks had been misunderstood and stressing that Syria’s priority is ending the war, rebuilding the country and supporting regional stability rather than engaging in a new conflict. After the peace deal, violence in Lebanon remains the bone of contention, wherein Israel has persisted to stay and continue their operation against Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon.

Iran-US Strikes Second Day : The United States struck Iran for a second consecutive day on Saturday as the conflict spread beyond the Strait of Hormuz, with Kuwait and Bahrain coming under drone and missile attack, Israel bombing southern Lebanon and President Donald Trump warning Tehran that it risked complete destruction if it did not stand down.

Trump, writing on Truth Social, said US forces had struck Iranian missile and drone storage sites and coastal radar positions for repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement signed on 17 June. “There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started,” he added. “If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist.”

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard hit back, saying US strikes had violated the ceasefire and warned the attacks “will result in the complete halt of all diplomatic processes.”
