US-Israel-Iran War News Live Updates: Bahrain sounded missile alert sirens this morning after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said it targeted the island nation to retaliate for the US attacks. The Guards said they had struck the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain ⁠with ​drones after the US strikes ​on parts of southern ⁠Iran earlier on Wednesday. The state ‌media reported that clashes were continuing.

US strikes on Iran: The United States had launched strikes against Iran after President Donald Trump said Tehran had shot down a US Apache helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz, deepening doubts about prospects for peace between the two countries. “The mission is a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression,” the U.S. military said on X. The US Central Command termed the attacks “a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression” as the blasts were reported along the Persian Gulf coast — including in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, and water infrastructure in Sirik.

Iran downs US Apache helicopter: Earlier, US President Donald Trump said the crew members of the downed American military helicopter are safe, while stating on Tuesday that it was downed by Iran. Taking to Truth Social, he also said the US must respond to the attack on its “highly sophisticated” helicopter. The helicopter had crashed near the Strait of Hormuz, and later, a US Navy drone boat rescued the two crew members. Initially, there was no word on the cause of the crash, and an investigation was launched to determine it.
