US Israel Iran War Live: In a significant development on Day 25 of the West Asia war, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump spoke by phone on Tuesday and discussed the situation in the Middle East, including the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open, US envoy to India Sergio Gor said in a post on X.
The development comes a day after President Trump announced he was pausing all US military strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for five days, citing “very good and productive conversations” toward a “complete and total resolution” of hostilities. Trump said envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff held talks Sunday with a “respected” Iranian leader, and that Tehran “wants very much to make a deal”.

The vessels are en route to India to boost domestic energy supplies.
