US Venezuela News Today Live Updates: A day after the US attacked Venezuela and captured its president, Nicolas Maduro, India expressed “deep concern” at the developments and called upon “all concerned to address issues peacefully through dialogue, ensuring peace and stability of the region”. However, New Delhi has not condemned the US actions. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said Sunday, “Recent developments in Venezuela are a matter of deep concern. We are closely monitoring the evolving situation.”
To face federal charges: Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores have arrived in New York City to face federal drug charges, following a dramatic US military operation in Caracas. They landed at Stewart Air National Guard Base in New York state and were then taken to Manhattan. After their capture, President Trump had shared a photo of Maduro blindfolded on board the USS Iwo Jima and declared that “the US will run Venezuela”.

National emergency declared : Venezuela has declared a national emergency following a series of bombings in the capital, Caracas, resulting in at least 40 deaths, including civilians and soldiers, according to a senior Venezuelan official cited by The New York Times. Colombian President Gustavo Petro confirmed the reports of blasts and military activity inside Venezuela and urged that emergency meetings of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations be convened to address the situation. “Right now they are bombing Caracas. Alert to the whole world, they have attacked Venezuela. They are bombing with missiles,” he said.
